How does Informant work?

Informant works by providing you with an online space to login and regularly communicate information to your customers via e-mail. Customers can subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, your newsletter automatically via your website. Nothing needs to be installed on your website except adding a simple link to the newsletter subscription page (which we provide to you and does not need to be done by OPMC).


What are my options for installation?

Informant comes with two installation options - Basic or Professional.

Our Basic option provides you with the same level of service as the Professional option. However, the look and feel of the e-newsletters you send out are your responsibility - you are supplied with a blank canvas and the tools to make the e-newsletter look essentially how you would like it to. This includes advanced options for your website developer. We charge $95 + GST to install this option for you.

Our Professional option is the same low monthly fee as the Basic option, but we will create for you a professional e-mail template. This allows those who want to ensure professionalism and consistency, the ability to do that. Each time an e-newsletter is started, you can choose the template we have created for you. Then, simply start typing your e-newsletter in the right places. The design, look and feel of the e-newsletter is taken care of - you simply enter in the information you want to send out and press send - a professional looking newsletter is sent out each time. We charge $295 + GST to install this option for you.


What are the ongoing costs of Informant?

Informant costs just $24.95 + GST per month, and is subject to our standard terms and conditions, which are available when requested or through our website. A reasonable usage and anti-spam policy applies to Informant, and we may suggest customers with larger requirements move to a more appropriate monthly fee. If you exceed reasonable usage levels, we will advise you and suggest a more suitable plan. In extreme circumstances we may decide to temporarily suspend your usage of Informant, until such time as a more suitable arrangement can be made.


How to customers subscribe and unsubscribe from my e-newsletters?

Customers can subscribe to your e-newsletter by visiting a website link that we provide you with. You can promote this website link to your customers via e-mail, or you can add a link to your website (we are able to assist with this).

Customers are able to unsubscribe from your e-newsletter through every e-mail you send. A link at the bottom of each e-mail allows the customer to unsubscribe from, or change their settings for, your e-mail newsletters. Alternatively, you can make the change for the client through your administration login to Informant.


Can I relocate my Informant account to another service provider in the future?

You can move your Informant account to another provider in the future, and we can supply the customer data in your Informant account as a file you can pass on to your new provider, however there is a service charge for this.

You cannot have access to the Informant source code/software to move to a new provider, as this is proprietary technology developed by OPMC Limited and remains our intellectual property.

These services are charged automatically one month in advance. Payment in full of the Installation fee is required prior to setting up your account.
